Phase I - the computer desk

I have my computer on this desk. I purchased the desk from Bombay Co which unfortunately has gone out of business here in the U.S. To the right of the desk you see one of the two bookcases I have in the room. The bookcases are 6.5' tall and where custom made. Don't shy away from getting a quote for a custom piece from your local unfinished furniture store. I was pleasantly surprised to find their prices were competitive and the bookcases are made out of real wood. I paid a little more for this piece than the 6' bookcases I saw at Costco Home simply because I was too lazy to paint and distress the bookcases myself. :-)
