Happy Easter

A few years ago there was a two page layout that sold on eBay for $760! The LO & its associated cost where the topic of much discussion on several Yahoo scrapbooking groups. I belonged to one of those groups. After the chatter finally subsided we decided to took a close look at the details involved in her artwork. It was simply amazing! The LO was beautifully designed . . . had lots of dimension and texture . . . no detail was spared. So we took on the challenge of creating our own 2 page LO inspired by her artwork. This is my interpretation of her work.

So let me give a closer look at some of the details that went into making this LO. The photo on the left is one of my favorites. It is a close-up of the bunny I made using the a tearing technique. It was my first, and last time, trying my hand at that particular technique. LOL. Every good bunny needs a home . . . why not one made out of a carrot. To give the carrot house some dimension I used several of my Fiskar's template. For the bunny's dress I used several layers of pop dots to create dimension. I used mulberry paper to create dimension to the ground.

The Easter chick at the top of the first page was made using a circle punch for the body then cutting it in half. I sewed the edges of all the frames in this LO. However, by the time I got to the border the miniature sewing machine broke. So I drew a dash around the edges of the border for a faux sewing effect.

Here is a close-up picture of one of the frames. All back-ground paper is from CTMH. As I indicated before, I actually sewed the edges of the frames. I love this little frame within a frame idea. This is an idea that I've integrated into other LO that are not quite as detailed. I used the Jasmine Cricut cartridge to create those cute photo corners.

I love this little bunny peaking out the side of the frame.

I hope you enjoyed this LO. But most of all I hope you enjoy a very blessed Easter among those whom you love the most. Happy Easter!

LOVE the LO. It is easy to tell the time you spent on the details. I did not see the original but if I paid that for a LO, it better be spitting out $10 & $20 bills. LOL
