SPOILER: Girly banner

I completed this cute little banner for yet another swap. This thing is dripping in girliness and I luv it!

For the skirt I used a few flower petals from Pataloo's Color Me Crazy collection. These flowers are meant to be altered. I sprayed a little Tattered Angels on mine and distressed the edges with an ink pad. The chandelier is from Cricut's Home Decor cartridge and the glitter is from Martha. Had some problems with the glitter though. I used Martha's glitter glue but it wasn't sufficient to keep the glitter on. I had read somewhere that spraying hair spray afterwards would keep the glitter from getting everywhere. Tried it. Didn't work. So if you have any advice in this area your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Yoli, I am loving your blog! It is so girly! I love it. so hey, re: glitter. I have a love hate relationship with the stuff. love to see it on projects and on my shlves but when I try to use it, it gets everywhere except where I want it to be :-( well, I used heat n stick by stampin up! and it works!!!! I love the stuff, I also just learned that hero arts also has a similar product to heat n stick so I bought like 3 little containers of it! good luck!

I am glad to hear that I'm not the only one who has a love hate relationship with glitter. Thanks for the info regarding heat n stick. I'm going to order some from my SU rep.

Your projects just keep getting better and better - I'm so in love with the chandelier and the flower petal skirt! The only time I get along with glitter is if it's stickles. I know some people who have used Diamond Glaze with some success...

WOW! I love this banner. The skirt and the chandelier are wonderful. I've used modge podge for glitter on altered items (wooden boxes, etc.) and it works wonderfully - a layer underneath and a couple layers on top. But been afraid to try glitter on cards. I'll be getting some of the SU glue too!
