Glinda the Good Witch

I started this ribbon fairy last night for a swap. I was inspired by a recent plaque I purchased of Glinda the Good Witch from the Wizard of Oz. Armed with my inspiration and my JOW this is the paper doll I created.

I had so much fun making this paper doll. But, as the saying goes, the devil is in the details. The crown is actually a card that came from a Wizard of Oz Monopoly game. I cut it out and added bling. I used pearls to adorn the bottom of the crown and to create a necklace. I was ever so grateful the pearls come in strands. :-)
The sleeves are made of lace . . . stapled to the arms. I was able to use brads to secure the scepter to the body. For the skirt I used 1" ric rac ribbon. I added beads to the bottom of the ribbon. I secured a pretty flower to the side of the ribbon with a straight pin. I used doubled sided adhesive tape for the ribbon skirt. As an added measure I stapled the ribbon to the paper doll.

BTW . . . I'm going to have to make another doll because I'm keeping this one. :-) TFL!
