I came across this scrapbook room during a discussion on a Yahoo group on how to store punches. Isn't this an AWESOME way to store punches? This is simply the BEST use I've ever seen for a window bump out area.
The creative genius behind this idea is Zee Hoegger . To hold the punches on the wall she used 16" towel rails which she purchased at Ikea. Now the punches are clearly visible and ready to use. The shelves, also purchased from Ikea, help balance the towel rails and are a nice edition on the other side of the wall. As you can see from the photo she uses the shelves to store Cricut cartridges and flower jars along with a few other trinkets. Simply awesome!
The towel rails & shelves on the wall are a clever use of space. It's functional and yet stylish. If you don't have the wall space for this unit perhaps you can modify it to fit on the side of a bookshelf. Setting up a rail system on the side of a bookshelf would be a great way to use what is often an under utilized space.
Zee is a talented lady so be sure to stop by her blog,

Have a fabulous 4th!
